Cosmetic surgery
has become very popular within the last few years, although
it is necessary to take care when choosing a surgeon
and you should make sure that they are a member of
the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons
or the British Association of Plastic Reconstructive
and Aethetic Surgeons and that they have attained
the final Plastic Surgery Fellowship examination, FRCS
(Plast).
Most private surgeons may work at several hospitals for
the NHS, but may combine this with also offering private
consultancy and surgery at one or more of those hospitals
for private clients. The quality of treatment and standard
of facilities should therefore be very high and it is
not necessary to use a large private cosmetic surgery
group with their own facilities.
In this site we also recommend some

specialist medical consultants that do not necessarily deal with
cosmetic surgery, but who may provide expertise in other
areas that may be of interest to some our site visitors.
